This was a while ago now, photos from the aussie title in lismore in 2002. At this stage Tim had just started to get a handle on the racetracks in NSW and QLD. Tim qualified off pole and lead the feature until with 10 laps to go the the wheel centre gave way (see the photos) and he was forced to retire. Herne went on to win. The team stayed up in NSW/QLD for the 2 week period from boxing day to take part in the aussie title, QLD title at Brisbane and another meeting at Grafton. It was 35 degrees plus and very humid everyday, a big shock for everyone on the team as we are used to cooler temps coming for windy Warrnambool in south-western Victoria.
